"Warm, friendly, it's a good place to be." Our Religious School's Open House will also be featuring the first Bring a Buddy to School day on Sunday November 6. Mark your calendars!
Come for all or part of the morning (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) meet our staff, Rabbi Flicker, Cantor Bromberg and our kindergarten-Hay teachers and aides. Get to know other parents, see our children's on-going projects and enjoy some light refreshments.
But there's more!
On Bring a Buddy Sunday we're asking each of you to ALSO invite a family who may be interested in Jewish Education for their school-age children. Of course, children from six to twelve are invited.
We're preparing a special get-involved-in-learning morning for our guests, the "new kids on the block", to welcome them to what we sincerely hope will be their new religious school - the Irving and Edith Friedman Academy of Jewish Learning.
Parents and children will see how our small classes, individualized attention, one-on-one tutoring and full music and art programs can enrich and enliven Jewish education. No one will feel left out! You don't have to be a Religious School parent to host a new family for Bring a Buddy Sunday.
We're anxious to get to know families who desire a strong Jewish education for their children, families who might be wondering what to do about an upcoming Bar/Bas Mitzvah, families who feel learning about Jewish Holidays, Hebrew language and tefilah (learning prayers) is important.
I'll be happy to call them personally, if you will let me know names and phone numbers.
Our Religious School has always made our Congregation proud. Please help continue our tradition by helping to bring new kids, new families, to B'nai Israel.
